One Small Change, One Big Difference!
Happy Earth Day friends!
In the spirit of caring for the planet, here is one tiny change we can make in our lifestyles that can have a huge impact.
…it’s water bottles!
Every time I go to the supermarket, one item that is always making its way off the shelves and to the check out line is bottled water…cases of it at a time! A lot of these bottles then end up half used and discarded along the side of the road, or added to the mountain of trash that is accumulating at our local incinerator.
What if we could remove this one item from our trash, and from along the roadside? We can! All we have to do is stop purchasing it!
Why not consider purchasing family sized (gallon or larger) bottles of water and a reusable water bottle? You can pour and use only the amount of water you need to take with you on the go, then when you’re done, you can wash and repeat the cycle. When your family sized bottle gets empty, you can run to the nearest refill station and fill up your bottle. Simple…and no trash created.
What is your weekly plastic water bottle footprint? How much would you reduce it by if you switched to a reusable bottle?
