Moisturising Technique for Brittle Ends
We all know that most things become weaker and brittle with age.
Same goes for our hair. The oldest parts of our hair are the ends, this is why they tend to be more dry, brittle and generally more damaged than the rest of our hair (dry, brittle hair are more prone to split ends).
These parts of our hair need much more moisture than our newer growth closer to the root. One way to ensure this happens is to use an intentional moisturising technique.
Simply,
…Don’t panic I don’t literally mean for you to apply your moisturiser in the opposite direction…(whew)… but what I mean is to begin applying moisturiser 1-2 inches from the ends of your hair and smooth all the way down. Repeat this pattern beginning the smoothing process higher and higher up the hair strands until you are at the root, working your way down to the ends.
This method ensures that moisture is added to your ends during every smoothing application, allowing for more moisture in the much needed older regions of your hair.
