Len’s Henna Weekend
Hi friends!
My hair has been looking really dull these past weeks (who am I kidding!…these past months) so I decided I would give it a little henna “pick me up”. It turned out great and so I just wanted to share the pictures and process with you guys.
Remember we posted a How Should Henna be Used” post a while back? I essentially used that as my guide. You can also check out Flashback to Pam’s Henna Journey.
1. I activated my henna with juice from a lemon and dilute Apple Cider Vinegar. ( I left this for a couple hours while I went scuba diving…YAAY!!)
2. I then added honey, aloe vera juice, coconut and neem oils, rosemary and lemongrass essential oils.
3. I washed my hair during the day and just before bed I applied, capped and fell asleep. (that’s wasn’t the plan but it worked out great!) I placed a towel over my pillow just in case!
(Was too tired to take a picture)
4. The next morning I woke up, rinsed, deep conditioned and had brownish, reddish highlights in my hair!
The process worked great for me and it was not time consuming at all because I was actually doing legitimate things like scuba diving and sleeping instead of looking for something to do to pass the time like “fake cleaning and reorganizing”
What’s also interesting is that for some reason my henna mixes only stain my hair and my nails (slightly). It washed completely out of my clothing, skin and wherever it touched.
